Pop-star Britney Spears is now a trendsetter in tattoo fashion for youths.
It began from a small thing – Britney allowed an “unknown artist” to tattoo a flower circling a toe - that she now thinks is ugly. Later she said: "I'd like to get rid of it because it doesn't look the way I'd hoped it would. It's a blob."
However, Britney continued to decorate herself. She's got a butterfly script on her another toe, and she also has an angel etching on her back and it was reported she went under the needle in a very personal place.
Another tattoo the singer got was a Japanese word scratched on to her hip bone.
It was supposed to mean "mysterious" but in fact turned out to mean "strange". Britney was distraught when she found out the truth from her Japanese fans.
One more Japanese word tattooed on a toe of the star means “freedom”.
Another small mark. It is, however, located in such an intime place that one can't see it easily. Britney's answer to questions on this one is shy silence.
And finally the most interesting tattoo – it was widely discussed all over the world, even in Arabian papers. The singer has had a series of Hebrew symbols etched into the back of her neck in an act of devotion to Kabbalah.
But unfortunately for her they are absolute gibberish – and it was not the first time Britney got the words the wrong way round. She had hoped it would say new year or new era, but the three letters just mean “world protection”, and, according to Kabbalah, helps to live in piece with outward things.
However, the singer should really realise that tattoos are forbidden under Kabbalah law
